ABOUT
FUNCTION FIRST
Dr. Cindy started her clinical career in the Sports and Rehabilitation Department at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Upon graduation, she worked for a multi-location clinic specializing in the treatment of motor vehicle accident injuries in South Minneapolis. She then took a position at Lake Marion Chiropractic in Lakeville, MN. She practiced in Lakeville until August of 2015. It was during her time in Minnesota that she developed her passion for sports and rehabilitation therapy. She had the opportunity to provide care to athletes in the Twin Cities such as the Minneapolis Marathon, the MS150 cycling race, and the 2014 USA Open Raquetball Tournament. Dr. Cindy was also the co-captain for the sports medicine team at the 2015 Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walk. In August of 2015, she moved back to her hometown of Fort Dodge, IA and practiced at Calisesi Chiropractic Clinic until May of 2021.

It was in the early months of 2021 that Dr. Cindy decided it was time to branch out and start a clinic where she could really develop and build a practice model that emphasizes the active care aspect of treatment. She looks forward to providing, not only evidence-based treatment, but treatment that is specific to the needs of every patient she encounters. She truly believes in the body’s power to heal itself but understands that this is not accomplished unless the patient is an active participant in their care. It is that mentality that has driven the vision for Function First Spine and Sport.
